Testimonials

From Patients, Caregivers and Healthcare Professionals...

have been a Coram nutrition consumer for over 20 years. At that time, I was with a small independent healthcare company, but upon getting information about Coram's services and touring their facility, I was so impressed by the high tech sterile processing room, that I made the switch. Through the years, the staff at the Tampa branch have become the first call I make regarding a question or problem; with the 24 hr., 365 day access to help, even when I am outside of the area.

They are courteous, knowledgeable and efficient at their various jobs. My supplies are delivered at the proper temperature and in good condition. With the high cost of this therapy, there were many sleepless nights, however, Coram has filed all the necessary insurance forms and accepted the reimbursement received. Being on Social Security Disability and Medicare, my finances don't allow for many extras. The financial limitations have been my hardest adjustment with my life on therapy. Has everything always been perfect? Of course, not. However, every need, problem or situation has been addressed and resolved.

I appreciate the ability to call my pharmacist, nurse or dietitian when needed. My experience has been a positive one and I am pleased to be with Coram. One last quality I wish to express, is the support Coram provides to the Oley Foundation - it has been a lifeline to others sharing this same lifestyle and has helped to sustain my quality of life.

We are pleased and confident working with Coram because their Nurse Liaison and Dietitian come directly to the hospital to meet with our total parenteral nutrition (TPN) patients, and they follow through with great care for these patients in the home. For our complex patients, Coram knows what needs to be done.

When we adopted Tia, she could only eat 2 grams of protein per meal... she didn't eat anything orally. In four years, Tia went to the hospital only twice. If we hadn't been able to get these services from Apria, Tia would have been in the hospital all the time. Apria is so wonderful. They have always taken our concerns and made them their priorities.

fter 33 years on TPN, I know that I need a winning team on my side. Coram has an 'all-star' at each position!

Iwould like to take a moment to offer a heartfelt commendation to one of your employees in the Mt. Prospect, Illinois branch who is overseeing the implementation of TPN for my wife, Linda.

Linda is being treated for pancreatic cancer at CTCA in Zion, Illinois. We were there for 10 weeks of radiation/chemo, and Linda needed TPN for malnourishment. We have since returned home where she continues to receive the TPN treatments, as coordinated by your employee, Dennis.

Dennis has been one of our best sources of help. He is concerned and compassionate - truly interested in my wife's condition. He has gone out of his way to provide assistance ... has carried out his responsibilities efficiently and thoroughly, and in doing so has taken some of the burden from my shoulders as a caretaker. This means a lot when living away from home under the most stressful of conditions.

I would like to commend Coram as an organization to the professional way that your business is conducted. I would also mention a word of appreciation for Joe, your RN who trained me initially to use the pump. His explanation was both precise and complete. Your RN, Jill expertly came each week for blood samples and offered emotional support for my wife.

I believe in taking the time to recognize good, competent work. The world is full of companies which give disappointing services. In my experience, Coram is not one of them and I would, and will, recommend your services to all who I meet. Thank you.

oram is not just an infusion services provider but rather a network of caring, educated and devoted people who rally together and who make the impossible, possible. I know this to be certain because they helped me and my family through a situation that seemed hopeless. Our son was born with a bowel obstruction and lost most of his intestines. The doctors were not sure that he would survive. He surmounted sepsis three times and two major abdominal surgeries, as well as a central line catheter placement.

I was a mess to say the least. Our son came home on TPN after three months straight in the N.I.C.U. The TPN nurses recommended that we have Coram as our medical supplier as they were the best. We were suddenly faced with the whole education of catheter care, infusion preparation, aseptic techniques, pump operation and how to identify signs and symptoms of potential complications.

Coram was my saving grace. I got a call from Barbara Crouse, the Nutritionist at the Ontario, CA. Coram office. She and a co-worker came to our next GI clinic appointment and helped evaluate my son's situation. After the appointment, they sat with me and wrote down everything in a day that I was responsible to do on my own, as well as a phone number to Coram's Care Partner, Linda Gravenstein - a mother of a child with similar problems as mine.
Linda and I spoke for hours. I was relieved to speak to someone that gave me hope, that had and still was experiencing similar situations as me. She showed me that remaining positive is the way, the only way, to survive. She put me in touch with other resources as well. I cannot thank them enough. I know that they wrote letter after letter and made call after call on our behalf.

I know that our family has been forever changed by the efforts of everyone at Coram. We were not only helped by Barbara and Linda but by the Pharmacists, the order pullers, the supply coordinators, the after hours nursing line, the delivery drivers that brought us our supplies and all of the others behind the scenes. These people became an extension of our family and will always remain in our hearts and on our Christmas card list.

Thank you so much for all of your attention to detail, your patience and your commitment to us. You are unlike any other group of people that I have ever encountered. We will forever appreciate your ability to show your customers that you are there because you really want to be.
